Sound Healing
Bathe in vibration — bowls, gongs and voice that carry the nervous system into deep rest.
Vibration as healing reaches back through every ancient culture — Himalayan singing bowls, Aboriginal didgeridoo, Indian nada yoga — and is now supported by research into entrainment and the vagus nerve.
An overstimulated, overloaded system — insomnia, tension and a mind that won't stop.
About This Practice
Sound healing is medicine for the overstimulated: the body absorbs the rich vibrations of singing bowls, gongs and voice, and entrains to their slow rhythms — heart rate settling, brainwaves deepening, tension dissolving. It is rest you don't have to work for.
In a sound bath, you lie down and simply receive while instruments are played around and over the body; in one-on-one sessions, bowls are placed on the body for targeted vibration. Sessions end in a deep quiet that many describe as better than sleep.
