Pilates & Body Movement
Precision movement from the centre — core strength, postural alignment and intelligent fitness.
Created by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s as 'Contrology', drawing on his study of yoga, martial arts and Greek physical culture, and used by dancers for rehabilitation long before its global popularity.
Back pain, poor posture and core weakness — a body that needs rebuilding from the centre.
About This Practice
Pilates trains the body from its centre — the 'powerhouse' of deep abdominal, back and pelvic muscles — with slow, exact movement and breath. It is the quiet technology behind upright posture, a stable spine and effortless movement in everything else you do.
Sessions work mat or equipment (reformer) through controlled sequences that build strength without bulk, mobilise stiff areas and re-educate alignment. Ideal for recovery, back care, and anyone wanting strength that supports rather than strains.
